Meagre

Meagre

Meagre
(Argyrosomus regius)

The Meagre is a species with a rapid growth rate (three or four times that of the Sea Bass or the Gilt Head Sea Bream, at similar rearing temperatures). The high conversion coefficient (0.9 to 1.2 depending on the feed used) and the quality of the flesh of the fish (low in lipids, high in fatty acids) have led Les Poissons du Soleil to choose this fish.

After a number of years of experiments on rearing, in tanks and in floating cages, the reproduction of this species in a hatchery is now completely mastered. Comprehensive help is available for the on-growing phase.

The juveniles (5 – 15 g) are available from July to October.
