Les Poissons du Soleil is the oldest privately-owned marine fish hatchery in the Mediterranean. Since its creation in 1975, the company has developed strategies of research, innovation and diversification, and can thus be considered as a pioneer of marine biotechnological expertise.

Supported since 2003 by the parent company Ferme Marine de Douhet, the top French producer of juveniles and among the biggest hatcheries in Europe, Les Poissons du Soleil has begun a strategic development on the European scale, with the aim of becoming the leading production site for marine biotechnology in  the entire Mediterranean.
